And so it begins...
Hello and greetings to you all. I would like to start things off with a very truthful statement. This is not my first attempt at a blog.
In fact... I have a history of fizzled out blogs behind me. While I've been motivated at various times in my life to start one I have lacked the drive and disciple to maintain any over a lengthy period of time. There was a tech blog that I had going for several months, but inevitably that blog fell to the wayside.
How will this attempt be any different? Only time will tell. I have maintained the notion that the road to success is paved in failure and that continual effort moving forward is the key to getting where you want to be. To quote TV host Mel Robbins, 'Getting what you want is simple, but it isn't easy'.
On that note, what is this blog really meant to be? I feel that it will serve both as a public journal and repository for my efforts going forward. So what is with the name? 16 weeks is the amount of time I've settled on to commit to a handful of goals. It is largely an experiment. Over the past few years I've played around with various formats to help garner better habits. I had a lot of success with a 21-day zero-sugar challenge (FULL DISCLOSURE: I've since regressed to my former, sugary ways...).
Having tried stacking various numbers of itemized goals into different time ranges and having met various levels of success, I feel that going forward I need to start documenting this stuff, you know, science and stuff. One might say that this 'repository' is a continuation of a larger effort of self-improvement. We shall see.
One thing is for certain... I need to drink more water.
